AboutJo was the winner of the BBC "Cook of the Year" 2015 in the prestigious Food and Farming Awards. Jo Ingleby is a chef who's passion is for creative cookery with vegetables, herbs and spices. Jo has had a rich and varied career in food and was awarded Cook of the Year for her work at Redcliffe Children's Centre where she cooked lunch for the centre's 140 children, all aged 2-4 and co-ordinated the Food Project-Young Children's Experimental Cookery. The nursery was also awarded Best Nursery Food in the Nursery World Awards 2016. Jo is co-author of 'Young Children's Experimental Cookery' published by Routledge in 2016 and writes regular recipes and blogs for The Community Farm and Bristol Fruit Market. Jo has worked as a chef for many years including three years as Head Chef for Demuths Vegetarian Restaurant, Bath. Jo also teaches cookery at several different schools and farms encouraging Plot to Plate cookery and sustainable food. Jo has sat on the Board of Trustees of the Soil Association and the Standards Committee of Food for Life and is part of many local food initiatives that encourage healthy eating including Sugar Smart Bristol and Teaching a City to Cook. |
